"Bent" sounds from a CPU overloaded computer
« on: September 01, 2009, 03:38:45 AM »

So I'm sitting here on a semi-old machine with only 512mb of ram.  I was installing a rather large program, unrarring a 3gb .iso file, all while playing music, running firefox, blah blah.... It was overdoing the poor thing.

Then I opened up FL studio, loaded up guitar VSTi and attempted to play a chord and the most amazing glitchy droning sounds came out from a key press. It was just trying to get out the normal sound but couldn't so it was all jumbled up, spaced and dragged out. It went on for about two minutes.  I've had this happen before but never thought anything of it and not to this extent.  I think it'd be a good idea to try this again soon and sample it... It was a really really interesting sound.
