Casio Rapman

It's really hard to find info on this one!
Anyone got any tips? Should I do a voltage drop like with other Casios?

Mine's actually a Realistic Rapmaster but it's the same machine.

the voice changer thing needs to put into a feedback loop with output.... then the fun starts!!  ;D

Yeah... that's what I read... (also with the Hing Hon) just connect with a pot between it?

yep, a pot...

can't remember offhand what value of pot... but i'm sure you can work it out easily enough.

once you get it feeding back, try changing the lo<>high slider for lovely feedy pitch effects. yummy.

we love rapman

definately pursue the feedback loop,
it is easily achieved with a microphone however pots work better
and much more fun to tweak

ive seen someone add contacts on the scratch wheel however he said it was just a pain in the arse and didnt really give any good results.

you can do a lovely feedback thing on those maplins/radio shack voice changers too in a similar way ;)

You may want to solder a cap or diode in the circuit so you don't get leakage down teh feedback line.

This guy here has just made a MIDI-in kit that fits the Rapman - cool!!

I actually think the Rapman has some useful generic synth sounds, which is unusual for a toy keyboard. Makes the MIDI kit worthwhile, think I might get one for my Rapman. Now all's I gotta do is get rid of that stupid Auto Power Off feature...
