Asking a girl to homecomibg

OK, so this one is single. Her name is Carissa Ellington. She is a highschool sopohmore. She has known me for 2 years, we are best friends
Whatis the best way to ask her? In person, or through text. And if I do decide to ask her in person, how should I do it?
