Powersupply
« on: January 14, 2017, 05:16:52 AM »

Hi,
Just asking for a confirmation or objection to my thought.

I want to operate the CB 55 in a rack, that already has a stabilized 9v supply.
So my idea was to input +9v after the 1N4001 diode, replace the 7809 with a jumper from it's intended to be input to output. Can I just leave the already soldered in capacitors C1 and C2? Shouldn't harm - right ? (I had already built it completely as a standalone before).

Should work fine.

C1 and C2 will just add a little more filtering to the supply.
