there used to be quite a few actual surplus stores here in portland oregon. i go to cascade surplus pretty often. i think they sell stuff on ebay too. www.cascadesurplus.com the last time i was there i picked up some 4 gang 100k pots for 75 cents a piece. i was checking out the local "dorkbot" website and it had a list of a few electronic supply stores that i had never been to. is anyone on here involved with dorkbot in your area? looks pretty cool. google it if you havent already.

I'm in the U.S. and I regularly use allelectronics.com. Never received a bad component, best prices (aside from the junk on ebay) I've come across, not to mention a well-designed website (rare in the components world, eh?). They also have some really interesting items from time to time, some of which are useful, some that are just batshit crazy (a used personal massager!?! Whatthefuck?). Got some old NES parts last year dirt cheap. Anyway, great prices: $1.10 for mini SPDTs, for instance. The downsize is a $7 s/h fee, which is no good if I'm making a smaller order.

Hi...

We have a fair amount of surplus stuff, as well as new components. http://eshop.dsmcz.com/

The site started last year, due to me organising my surplus components horded over the years for a modular synth build (which has now stalled due to the eshop taking over my life!)

I try to be as cheap as possible, and try not to take the piss with pricing for hard to find components.  We have no price breaks, e.g. a resistor is a penny if you want 1 piece or 500 pieces... Although I have bargain packs for components I have in large quantities...

We also sell on ebay and have reasonable feedback there - but the prices there are a lot higher due to ebay fees e.t.c. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/dsmcz_com/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

I'm also happy to build up orders for you (e.g. get in non stock parts), just email me a list of parts, and I'll send you a quote, no problem if it's just the components to build one module.

We're in the Czech Republic (originally from the UK), packages usually take about a week (2 days to 10 days) to European
destinations, my shipping rates are at cost (Czech Post office rates).

The site is here:- http://eshop.dsmcz.com/

The czech republic you say......

Can you get all those odd eastern bloc logic chip clones that were used in the machines made by Vermona when they were in the GDR? If i recall correctly there were a couple in a dead Vermona DRM1 (the original one) i've got , that i couldn't find western equivalents for.

I see you've got a load of pots that look very much like the knackered ones in my Polivoks and Vermona ER9

Let me know chip numbers, and I'll see what I can find...

But to be fair, I've already bought up anything that is cheap and looks useful for audio / synth stuff - so have a good hunt through the IC section...

But my knowledge of these things, might not be the same as yours, so let me know what you're after and I'll see what I can find...

The search on my site is pretty temperamental when it comes to part numbers (e.g. 741 vs ua741 e.t.c.), so best to use the categories and then the filtered lists (on the right hand side)

I've just returned from Berlin (buying old stuff in auction) Currently I have loads of HP part numbered chips and transistor pairs - probably clones of standard parts, but this information is difficult to find, I was going to ebay the lot in a few lots - rather than take hundreds of photos for the eshop... These were used in their test equipment in the 70's / 80's

Oh and loads of old test equipment, but too expensive to send internationally...

:) I am new but not to just lurk...which is kind of odd anyway!!!

Firstly....Im not a bot , chinese component seller , do not sell crap , am a normal person just testing the water in a job at the moment and trying to find the right people who might want some things...so any feedback would be fab!

I have taken a job in electronics recently , sadly it was a test for some ex military new items on ebay...which i am not getting to the right people!   (this means job over if i don't find customers!)

I Just noticed this thread, I do have a lot of random brand new stuff ive posted on ebay , am pretty sure it will not be anything you would want but if you can pass it over to anyone who likes really expensive (and shiny!)<3  military electronics and surveillance stuff at a bargain price and all brand new!!

None of this will be crap china replicas...

You can see the bits here

And bulk or single make me an offer...especially cables and obscure stuff!

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/gtluk/

As you are having a don't buy this crap thread also , please let me know what you want and how much for as the company i work for is a big supplier of normal electronics! and I woulod almost 99% certain in that they would be a very good price!

Wierd stuff and wanted you can post and ill check out what we have for you :)

Sorry for spamming that first thing but I would be very glad to find things you need and get quotes for you to help!

I also use Allelectronics.com for most of my orders. I'm up in Canada so the exchange is killing me but it still seems to be cheapest reliable supplier I've found in NA. I've placed many orders with them usually around the hundred dollar mark and have had excellent experiences. Only downside is they don't always have some of the more specialized ICs I'm looking for (40106 comes to mind) but I can get those locally or through other channels
