Fax machines that call your phone

Hey!
Im just wondering if anyone has some ingenious methods of messing with a fax that calls you and beeps in your ear? What I mean is.. Does anyone now if one can intercept the fax or communicate with the fax somehow? If one would have a recording of the correct sounds they make or something.
