Where do i find photocells that have actual resistance ratings??
« on: September 03, 2009, 05:38:08 AM »

All the sites i go to it just gives me the diameter or something stupid like that, but it doesnt say ANYTHING about light resistance and dark resistance or voltage or anything. Wheres a good site to buy (preferrably smaller) photocells??

do you mean light dependent resistors? - A techy at the uni told me off for calling them photocells before  ::) apparently they are different but loads of web pages state otherwise!

most sites should provide the 'dark resistance' which is the total resistance in the absence of light, cpc do:

no offence intended here but do you actually do any searching before posting on this board? You do seem to be starting a fair few threads that could easily be answered using the forum search function or by just using google.

Virtually any decent components site like CPC or Rapid has full dark/light resistance specs, usually along with spectral reponse, response time and voltage ratings.

Yeah i had checked partexspress and ebay and a few others, it may have been because i called them photocells

Plug it up to your multimeter and cover it with tape. Then read the S.O.B.
