charity shops are wonderful, if slightly musty, places. i love 'em too.
i tend to find more stuff at car boot sales though. they are my weekly church. this weekend i got another pss-140, a pt-82, an old bontempi, a 'unimax' toy keyboard, a speak and music (rare but not all that bendable by all accounts) and 6 cans of plastikote paint. all that for under £20. result!
i'm going to try and bend up the unimax this morning before heading back into the recording studio this afternoon. made in 1991 it has a large square chip on it like my beloved hin hon ek01 and should become a monster once tweaked. the bass drum is very odd.
