charity shops are wonderful, if slightly musty, places. i love 'em too.

i tend to find more stuff at car boot sales though. they are my weekly church. this weekend i got another pss-140, a pt-82, an old bontempi, a 'unimax' toy keyboard, a speak and music (rare but not all that bendable by all accounts) and 6 cans of plastikote paint. all that for under £20. result!  ;D

i'm going to try and bend up the unimax this morning before heading back into the recording studio this afternoon. made in 1991 it has a large square chip on it like my beloved hin hon ek01 and should become a monster once tweaked. the bass drum is very odd.

I agree that car boot sales are the best place for bargain bendables, although the charity shop does offer a little more moral value but you do have to put up with the pee-like musk and bearded old ladies.

You seem to have more luck the me with the charity shops!  In the last 18 months I have only ever found a single keyboard - A kawasaki with the side crushed and priced at £2.50!  I have given up even looking now, though I now have a great collection of odd crockery, faded video cases, and computer game demo cd's!

Carboots are good; worth getting up early for anyway :)

Akai S900 with full memory expansion and trigger input board for £5 at a car boot sale. The woman thought it was a video recorder! You can just imagine her son / husbands response when she got home. (he says with no danger of being accused of sexism as there is only 1 female circuitbender on the planet so its unlikely there will be any women reading this)  ;)

I know i've mentioned this before but i thought i'd mention it again in order to bathe in the glory of the best car boot find on this board. Unless some bastard has got a 303 for £2  ;D

So Toybreaker's the only circuit bender of a female persuasion on the planet?

I thought Pheobe October was the only female circuitbender on the planet. Whoops!

The ratio on this forum is 1:0 in favour of testicles though  ;)
