Hans Zimmer's wall of Modular
« on: April 23, 2009, 11:00:53 AM »

I don't think i've posted this here before. Check out Hans Zimmer's wall of Modular:

http://www.analogindustries.com/blog/entry.jsp?msgid=1128063962771

Gear porn at its finest!

'Between Hans Zimmer and Vince Clarke, I'm surprised that any Roland System 100m modules are left for the rest of us. This is one of the largest there is, with 58 VCOs, 37 VCFs, 32 ENVs, 12 VC Phase shifters, and 9 Sequencers. I think somebody needs to organize an intervention. This man must be stopped.'

And thats just the 100m wall  :D

well thats just stupid!  ;D ;D

Makes me wonder why if someone owns stuff like a Hartmann Neuron, a load of moog modular stuff and effects by Eventide they would bother with stuff like a synsonics, Roland groove-crap , or anything made by behringer!

The guy has a PPG modular for gods sake! Since when did they make modular systems? There must be all of two or three in the world.  :o

this is a little disturbing though http://www.aliens-project.de/sex_01.html

Behringer make some pretty good stuff, especially their wee stomp boxes.  I bought one of the multi-effects pedals, which has got the mankiest horrible pitchshifter in the world, and a very usable tremolo, phaser, chorus, flanger and delay.  That's a lot of noises for 25 quid.

But would you be wanting to put the output of your Moog modular through it if you had an Eventide available?

That has to be the FX600. I bought one last week. When i opened the packaging a penetrant, overwhelming and abhorrent stench like tar (plasticiser) emanated from the pedal, especially from the black material on the back and the switch-area at the top... A clear hint to carcinogenic PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons). And that stuff is so dangerous that when you operate the pedal by touching the surface with your hand for more than a few seconds, you are sure to be dead in a few years. Sorry Behringer, that was the last product from you i bought, once and for all!

Sorry, a little bit off topic but a reply to a post...  ;)
