The Yamaha PSS-20 song :D
« on: October 02, 2009, 11:05:05 PM »

I fell in love with this little keyboard the second I got it... such quirky little 8-bit sounds.

http://www.myspace.com/georgegleixner It's the first song on there right now.  Most of the other music on there is pretty old.. I'm just beginning to incorporate my circuit bent devices and old keyboards into music.

The whole song is built around sampling/splicing up the Waltz setting with auto arpeggio on in the key of F and G, C and D.  Then there's the me drumming along, random percussive sounds, clips of me and my friend goofing around, a bit of auto-tuned singing (heh), a "solo" played on the PSS-20 and a big build up that drops back down to the basic little F/G waltz.

[Thank tablehooters for that not-so-great quality image... I don't get it.  He can afford everything but a decent camera :P]

Very cool. I got into circuit bending because of the musical possibilities.

Did this involve a lot of software editing?

Listening now to the next track now - it's good stuff, karmakarma.

Thanks!

Yes, there was quite a bit of software editing, what with all of the other samples/splicing of the rhythm at times.
