LED word clock thingy
« on: January 06, 2010, 02:14:34 AM »

This isn't circuitbent but i made it for a christmas present so i just thought i'd show it off a bit. Its got something like 110 x 10mm LED's behind a 50cm x 50cm dark tinted plastic panel and a word stencil. The LED's are controlled by a PIC microcontroller.

It was made using the instructible at http://www.instructables.com/id/A-Word-Clock/ as a starting point.

I did it on stripboard with a separate board for the power supply. Theres some minor adjustments to the circuit but it does work fine with the schematic on the instructible.
