BASS pedals!
« on: November 14, 2010, 01:37:54 AM »

i have no woman...
i have no life...
i have no job...

but one thing i do have...

BASS PEDALS BABY!!!

yes, bass pedals!

i finally figures this out!

are they finished, no...however, let me explain this to you.

i harvested a set of bass pedals out of a lowery organ.

after learning very little, yet enough about reed switches, i am able to use these.

i made a 555 VCO. no potentiometers, however i might add a threshold pot.

i hooked up each of the pedals and was able to trigger the VCO! YES!

but, the notes are not tuned. therefore, it is my theory that i can hook up trimmers in order to TUNE the pedal notes from C to C.

should i also hook up some big electrolytic caps as well?!

thanks in advance for any help.

You could do that.  It wont' be terribly easy to tune, and it will be very sensitive to vibration and temperature changes, but it will work.

Depends what you want to hook them up to, and to what effect.

If at first you don't succeed, stick it through a fuzzbox.

bigger caps for lower pitch...

so i suppose i need to find the actual resistance for each note...
