tr606 confusion
« on: March 02, 2011, 05:41:57 PM »

hi i am sorry about bringing up the tr606 as i know you hate it paul but i have bought a highly liquid midi reed output kit and am gonna use it to trigger the pads om my dr110 and dpm48 and anything elese that has buttons and sounds good for that matter  , i would also like to use this to trigger my tr606 sounds as well , does anyone know if this would be possible as im sure you know the tr606 doesnt have individual pads for sounds , it is selected by a rotary encoder and where the rotary lis thats what sound is played by the sequencer step buttons i guess what im asking is can these sounds be triggered with an on off switch or are they controlled by a microprocessor

First, start using punctuation, or lay off the enery drinks before posting ;-)

Take a look at the service manual for the TR-606 - the outputs from the microcontroller are pretty clear on the diagram.  From there you ought to be able to work out how to add another trigger fron an external source.
