ltc1799 question?

im pretty new to this so was quite excited to try out the ltc1799 mod when i saw this crystal osc in a toy keyboard from sktoys . keyboard just crashes when i touch my clock out to it and so am a little scared of removing it. Any help would be apreciated

Just take the crystal out, you can always put it back in again if needs be.

Assuming the LTC1799 is powered right, you should probably try turning the pot to a slower clock rate to start with. If you have one of our LTC boards with the trimmer adjustment, try turning it around 180 degrees.
