Kawai K1rII gone glitchy
« on: November 01, 2016, 07:58:20 AM »

got a great looking K1rII for cheap, but it arrived in a terrible package,
with leads still plugged in, and appears to have a (serious?) problem,
in that it's kinda pre-bent, with waverom playing back in irregular fashion;
it was absolutely spotless inside, no visible tinkering, and i've read about
them going bad, one of the proprietary ICs - Kawai responded quickly to
the enquiry with a contact for their tech, but i got no reply from him.

any knowledge about this? i really like the K1, sold the keyboard version,
and this one has 4 outs, making it much more useful.(i did pick up another
cheap k1r afterwards, but just the stereo out v1)

also have a new Novation Remote mapping for that done (following the
TC version, re-did the whole thing) which is here:

haven't sussed out the addresses for multi mode yet, as not in the
manual(?) but the preset edit should be fully working. did this a
few months back and not rechecked yet while on other project.
(i know it's not a hardware mod, but it's just as useful if you've got
a Remote)
