TR-505 HELP!!
« on: April 07, 2006, 06:39:30 AM »

I was bending a TR-505 and suddenly it cut and the buttons work, but it seems to not play tracks. I'm a new bender. Does it sound like I destroyed it or is there any hope? Thanks for your help!

Sounds like you've been messing with the big chips on the left of the board to me, tempting aren't they?  :)

Is it still actually making sounds? What do you mean by 'seems not to play tracks'?

Your first port of call here would be a factory reset i'd imagine, can't remember how to do it off the top of my head but you should be able to find out on the net somewhere.

You're correct, I was messing with the big chips.

I looked through them and realized that I missed soldered one of them and that was where the problem was coming from.  We're talking a tip of soldering smaller than the head of a needle :(. Thanks for your help though it made me realize I needed to look back in that area. And needless to say I got it back to normal.

Thanks again!
