I'm a NOOB

Hello all,
I'm new here and just read/saw the bending on eBay/youtube.
Seems quite interesting and I'm hoping to hop over to the local thrift store to get an old toy or 2 to try this out.
I guess that was my introduction.
Cheers.

Well I went to a few thrift stores in the area and got a few items.
I fried my first board it seems. I got some cheap little keyboard and took off the back and started trying the leads and then it went kaput (sp?).
So back to the drawing board.

Did you reset it by taking the batteries out?
Another thing to try is discharging all the capacitors.
