Yamah DD6.....I think I killed it.
« on: August 01, 2006, 09:42:13 PM »

It arrived in the post today and I managed to safely figure out the patch bay, but i tried to add an led or 2 and now it's making horrible crunching noises.

Not these horrible crunching noises, they consist of a stream of sad, slightly pathetic farting noises. Not to worry though, it's being resurrected as an unusual table lamp in the hope I'll get my money back.

i obtained a DD9 from the car boot sale on sunday. i was excited to have found one of those 'home' yamaha drum machines to bend .....

got it home and found it doesnt work at all! gah! guess it serves me right for not taking any batteries with me..

looking inside i found it had a few missing resistors. i replaced them but still no sound... boo...

I've got a couple of replacement dd6's and I've added a 1/4" jack patch bay to one. Dear lord it makes some strange and wonderful noises! The original dd6 has now been turned into a very pointless but quite cool table lamp. bright blue leds rule.
