« on: April 27, 2012, 01:08:23 PM »

i've heard you can sync tr626 and mc202 via tapesync(but not reliably).
has anyone tried this, and how is it done?

Take a look at this page http://www.adambaby.com/studiotech_sync.html

Dinsync is a series of 5v pulses, FSK tape sync appears to be a sequence of audio frequency changes, and is nowhere near that voltage so i'd be amazed if it worked at all. You'd also not get the run/stop and continue signals you need with dinsync

 :o
life's too short for adambaby's solution. having to pre-roll by 80-100mS
is far too stressful for me. it is either there or it ain't, and i can cope without.
